Marisa C. Birkmeier, Catherine J. Byrne, and Seth J. Kress–Alumni of the Doctor of Health Sciences program–each presented their research at the 2025 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting in Houston, Texas.
DHSc faculty who are clinicians, researchers, administrators, and educators share advice and important aspects to consider when embarking on a research project: (1). Identifying a knowledge gap, problem, and/or question, (2). Ensuring the topic is feasible, and (3). Selecting a research team.
Stephanie Katz OTR/L, CHT from the DHSc program, Sarah Doerrer PhD, OTR/L, CHT, CLT, and Sam Moghtaderi MD were awarded a grant for their research entitled “The Impact of Early ADL Participation on Functional Outcomes Post Distal Radius-Fracture.”
Shamsah Lakhani, MPH, PA-C, an oncology specialist and student in the DHSc program published an article in the Supportive Care in Cancer Journal in Springer Nature.
