Why GW?
I chose GW DHSc to expand my knowledge and abilities to be an educational scholar, effective instructor, and leader in higher education. Additionally, I was attracted to the predominate online format which allowed me to continue to work full-time. I also really loved the emphasis on utilizing your own projects and work activities as a basis for course assignments. I did not have to put on hold my professional goals while enrolled in the GW DHSc program; I leveraged the work accomplished in the DHSc program to meet and exceed my professional objectives.
It is a quality program that offers working professionals the ability to advance their skills and abilities as a researcher, educator, and leader.
I feel equipped with the skills and abilities to be a productive educational researcher and higher education leader.
Collaborating in the Capitol
The residency weekends were meaningful, and time spent was working with peers and mentors. It was great meeting in person folks you have been engaged in online discussions. The transition from online to in-person was seamless.
I enjoyed working with individuals from other professions. Not only were there folks who were from clinical care professions, but it afforded me the opportunity to work with individuals focused in clinical research and health informatics.
The program is very practical, and the constant application of the coursework kept me engaged and wanting to know more.
