Yen Phan, BSc, MSc, MICS, MBCS, will be presenting at the 2025 Japan Academic Workshop, hosted by the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) on Friday, November 21, 2025. Her research focuses on integrating and implementing high-quality research standards among faculty researchers and her presentation was completed within the DHSc program.
CDISC plays a critical role in ensuring that clinical trial data is reliable, accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Understanding CDISC standards is essential for faculty researchers, as these standards are required for submissions to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Phan brings a wealth of experience to her work. She currently serves as:
- Senior Clinical Data Scientist at CodLad
- Statistical Programmer at elderbrook solutions GmbH
- Assistant Lecturer at Technological University Dublin
- Member of CDISC's Standard Development Team
During her second year in the DHSc program, Phan worked closely with faculty mentor Lisa Paganotti, PhD, PA-C, to refine her presentation, which is based on research completed at the Technological University Dublin in Ireland.
“This would not have been successful without the guidance and support of Dr. Lisa Paganotti,” said Yen Phan.
Dr. Paganotti, along with Michelle Rumble, DNP, RN, MPH, and Patricia Goldblatt, MD, serves as a faculty mentor in the Health Professions Practicum I and II courses. Together, they help students apply principles of educational and clinical leadership within their professional practice settings.
Phan’s presentation is free and will be held virtually from 2:50-3:25 a.m. EST (4:50-5:25 p.m. JST). Register at the link below:
